Caution: Falling Minotaur
Yeah, we don't know what this sign means either.
The first is, obviously, a general caution sign (the ubiquitous "!" of death).
The second is a really great warning for a trip hazard. I now want to use this everywhere in the US.
The last left us totally confused for enough time that we decided to take a picture of it and make it a contest. Tell us what you think it is.
NOTE: Greek speakers excluded, assuming the text gives any connotation. We will advise that it was at the top of the Theatre of Dionysis near the cave restoration which is also at the bottom of the east side of the Acropolis. Hence our title. Go nuts.

My guess for the third sign is "If you ride a donkey up here, it will fall to its death, with you on it."
ReplyDeleteOf course, my computer will only make the picture about 3 times larger than on the post itself. ;)
yeah, sorry, I couldn't get much closer to the picture to take it. Something about it seemed foolish to get closer to the warning sign just to take a picture of it...
ReplyDeleteSign 1: use caution
ReplyDeleteSign 2: don't be a klutz
Sign 3: watch out for falling fat men with turkey thigh in hand
obvious, right?!
