Acrocorinthos - a beautiful Byzantine castle

As an ancient Greek site, it allegedly houses a spring referenced in several myths (Bellarophon or gift of Corinthian river king Asopos), but we'll never know.  We later learned that admission was free, although the site was only open until 3:00pm, even though the corollary site at Korinthos (Corinth) is open until 8:00pm, and as I noted later when we were leaving the latter at 6:00pm, the flash of metal signaling someone driving to Acrocorinthos (high Corinth), I had to chuckle.

But here is an amazing picture of the outside of the castle, and a picture paints a thousand words.  Isn't that enough?
