I firmly believe that it is impossible to take a bad picture while in Greece. My phone could be slipping from my hand a some weird angle like from a Batman episode, rendering the water or a mountain range anything but level, and it would still be beautiful. Ran, overcast, full sun... Here are some that I have taken on Crete.
Cretan Sea around Nirou
Random gas station somewhere between Aptera and Heraklion at 8:14pm
8:14:30pm
8:15pm
8:16pm
Zakros Bay--got my feet wet here too!
Gorge of the Dead, Zakros (east)
(Randall really didn't like how close I was to the edge)
Gorge of the Dead (west)
Heraklion, 10:00am
Just outside Heraklion, 7:00pm
Somewhere on A90 driving to Eleutherna.
Note all the strategically placed shrubbery, which would otherwise distract drivers with the amazing views of the Cretan Sea, as well as serving as guardrails.
Somewhere else on A90, westbound
Yep.
Westbound.
Somewhere on the Acropolis of Eleutherna.
Proving a point outside Dikteon Andron
Aposelemis Dam from Ano Kera en route to Dikteon Andron
Two from the valley of Mt. Dikta. Also note the working windmills on the farm (right).
